2026 年3月に、北海道大学サステイナビリティ推進機構キャンパスマネジメント部門は、「Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus Wildlife and Plants Guide」を発行しました。

2024年4月にキャンパスマネジメント部門は、日本語版「北海道大学札幌キャンパス生き物ガイド」を発行しており、本ガイドはこの英語版にあたります。

本ガイドブックでは、季節ごとにキャンパスを訪れて楽しむために、主な動植物を紹介しています。北海道大学札幌キャンパスは、札幌中心部に位置する広大な緑のオアシスとして、多くの市民や観光客に親しまれています。北部には「北大原始林」とも呼ばれる森が広がり、多様な野生動植物が見られる貴重な環境となっており、2024年には環境省の「自然共生サイト」に認定されました。

In March 2026, the Campus Management Division of the Institute for the Advancement of Sustainability at Hokkaido University published the “Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus Wildlife and Plants Guide.”

The Campus Management Division previously published the Japanese version, “Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus Wildlife and Plants Guide,” in April 2024, and this guidebook is its English version.

This guidebook introduces the main flora and fauna of the campus, allowing visitors to enjoy the campus throughout the seasons. Hokkaido University’s Sapporo Campus is a vast green oasis located in the center of Sapporo and is cherished by many residents and visitors. In the northern part of the campus lies a forest known as the “Hokkaido University Primeval Forest,” which provides a valuable environment where a wide variety of wildlife can be observed. In 2024, the campus was designated as a “Nature Coexistence Site” by the Ministry of the Environment.
